What is social language?
Social communication refers to the language that is used in social situations. For children in school, this refers to their ability to use language to interact with others in a variety of situations. These communication behaviors are influenced by sociocultural and individual factors, and there is a wide range of acceptable norms within and across individuals, families, and cultures.
